About Me

Writer Cullen Dow Long brings his love of the craziness of city life to his writing, in particular unique characters, vivid detail, and a hint of the unexpected waiting around the corner. Born in San Francisco, lost in the Northwest suburbs of Illinois and Indiana for a decade and seasoned in Chicago, Cullen was always getting in trouble for reading in class.

In college, Cullen tried a little bit of everything—fine art, architecture, graphic design—but he found his perfect fit in the DePaul University creative writing program. He has been a storyteller all his life, as anyone who knows him will attest.

After graduation, he’s continuing to write while seeking new opportunities to use his skills in a professional capacity. He offers copywriting, copy editing, and proofreading, both in commercial and editorial arenas.
